At Ear Cleanse by Beth, I specialise in professional earwax removal, helping clients regain clarity and comfort in their hearing. I am dedicated to providing safe, effective and compassionate care to individuals who want to live life to the fullest, free from the challenges that hearing problems can bring.

As a registered nurse with over 7 years experience in both acute and outpatient care, I have had the privilege of helping patients in various healthcare settings. Throughout my career, I have seen first hand how hearing issues, particularly earwax buildup, can profoundly impact people's day to day lives. This realisation sparked my passion for improving hearing health, and I decided to turn that passion into action by starting Ear Cleanse by Beth.

Services

Earwax removal is done to clear excess wax that may cause discomfort, hearing loss, or infections. The body naturally expels earwax, but sometimes it builds up and needs assistance.

Microsuction

Microsuction is a safe and effective method for removing earwax. It involves using a small suction device to gently extract wax from the ear canal without the need for water. How It Works:
Preparation – The patient may be advised to use ear drops (such as olive oil) for a few days beforehand to soften the wax.
Examination – A trained professional inspects the ear using a magnifying tool (otoscope) to assess the wax buildup.Procedure – A fine suction tube is inserted into the ear, carefully removing the wax without direct contact with the eardrum.Aftercare – Since no water is used, there’s minimal risk of infection, and hearing often improves immediately.Benefits:
Precise and controlled – The clinician can see exactly what they’re doing.
Dry method – Ideal for those with perforated eardrums or ear infections.Quick and painless – Usually completed in under 30 minutes.

Irrigation

Ear irrigation is a common method for removing excess earwax. It involves flushing the ear canal with warm water to dislodge and wash out the wax. This procedure is typically performed using a syringe or an electronic irrigation device. How It Works:
Preparation – The patient may be advised to use ear drops (such as olive oil) for a few days beforehand to soften the wax.
Procedure – Warm water is gently introduced into the ear canal, helping to loosen and flush out the wax.Aftercare – The ear is dried, and patients are advised to avoid inserting objects like cotton buds, which can push wax deeper.Considerations:
Not suitable for everyone – People with a perforated eardrum, ear infections, or previous ear surgery should avoid irrigation.
Alternative methods – Microsuction is another option, which uses a small vacuum to remove wax without water.
